主机开动至一定转速(中速)后，物料经进料管、加料管，进入离心机转鼓，并在离心力场的作用下，液体经筛网转鼓壁上的小孔甩出转鼓外。截留在筛网上的滤饼，待转鼓内滤饼达到设定量后，停止加料，关闭进料阀，在洗涤和高速甩干后，将主机在低速运转下由刮刀将滤饼刮下，滤饼则由出料斗将滤饼卸出。

根据用户工艺要求及物料特性的不同，每道工序(进料、脱液、刮料等)所需时间，均可在开车前通过编程器做出相应的调整，本机自动化操作可近距离操作，也可远程控制。本机可进行人工操作，人工操作各工序的进行。则完全受操作者控制。
